What to Wear
We require closed-toe athletic type shoes; flip-flops and sandals are not permitted. We recommend wearing loose fitting clothing that will be comfortable when you are running, jumping and crawling. You will be crawling on the ground so please DO NOT wear “good sneakers or clothes”. Expect to get dirty, especially if we have had rain or wet conditions!!! Dress according to the weather conditions of the day of your visit. Long hair must be pulled back. Necklaces, piercings and jewelry are not recommended on the course. It’s best to apply sunblock prior to running the courses.
The Rugged Pumpkin Run is a 3K course finishing with Hellerick's Family Farm's obstacles. Carrying a pumpkin & running through the obstacles are optional, but encouraged. There will be volunteers throughout the 3K and on both the adult obstacle course & kids obstacle course. We recommend runners that choose to go through the obstacle course to be in moderate physical condition. Runners will be required to run, jump and crawl under and over obstacles with a pumpkin (Yes, put the pumpkin down where you need to!). Guests with medical conditions should use caution. Also, please eat and drink something before arriving at the Park especially during warm temperatures.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are not allowed to participate in this activity.

Weather may impact or interrupt the Farm Obstacle Course operation as it is open to the outdoor elements (sun, wind, rain, summer heat, etc.). The Course operates safely in most weather conditions. The Course will close if any of these weather conditions occur: thunder or thunderstorm, heavy rain, excessive heat, or sustained winds over 25 miles per hour.
Guests who do not complete their visit due to deteriorating weather will be given time to complete the Course after the weather conditions change. Or if we must close due to the weather, Guests shall be given a rain check to return to the Course on another day.
